If your wrist aches by Friday, the mouse shape is the first thing to change. The real fork is between a sculpted “palm” mouse and a vertical mouse that turns your hand into a handshake position. This guide compares three Logitech options on that split and on connectivity, which catches people out.

MX Master 3S (Bluetooth Edition)
Logitech lists 8000 DPI tracking on almost any surface including glass, quiet clicks and MagSpeed scrolling. The key line in the India listing: this edition is Bluetooth only and ships without a USB receiver or charging cable. Pick it if your computer has Bluetooth and you already own a USB-C cable. Skip it if you need a dongle for a work PC with Bluetooth disabled.
MX Master 4
The newest flagship adds a Haptic Sense Panel with customisable feedback, an Actions Ring shortcut overlay, MagSpeed scrolling at 1,000 lines a second, USB-C charging and a USB-C dongle Logitech says gives “2X more powerful connectivity”. Pick it if you use creative apps that benefit from Actions Ring. Skip it if you won’t customise buttons.
Logitech Lift Vertical
A 57° vertical shape Logitech says promotes a more natural forearm posture, designed for small to medium right hands, ergo-certified, with quiet clicks and Bluetooth or a Logi Bolt receiver. Pick it for wrist strain with smaller hands. Skip it with large hands or if you’re left-handed (check for the left-handed variant).
What the listings don’t tell you
- Hand size. Measure from wrist crease to fingertip; Lift is explicitly for small-to-medium.
- Adjustment period. Vertical mice take days to feel natural.
- Software. Button customisation needs Logitech’s Options+ app; some workplaces block installs.
Bottom line
Strain relief with smaller hands: Lift. Sculpted classic: MX Master 3S (mind the Bluetooth-only box). Power users: MX Master 4.
